The Sports Events You Cannot Afford to Miss in 2020

For the sports fans across the globe, 2020 promises to be a busy year with so many events lined up to take place starting from February all the way to December. The Summer Olympics in Tokyo will be the main catch, but there are several other events you just cannot afford to miss. It doesn’t matter what your favorite sport is, there seem to be something for you. Without wasting any more of your time, let’s delve into the top events to look out for this year.

Six Nations (Rugby) 1 Feb – 14 March

The stage is set for the Six Nations which kick off right at the beginning of February. There will be matches to look out for, including England’s trip to France for the biggest match of the first round. England lost to South Africa in the World Cup final in Yokohama, and they will be looking to put their disappointment behind to bounce back. You can bet on any of the matches with Betway88 Thai before kickoff.

Deontay Wilder vs Tyson Fury II – 22 Feb in Las Vegas

The long awaited bout was confirmed just before Christmas to the bewilderment of boxing fans around the world. The first fight between the two took place in Los Angeles last year, ending in a controversial draw. There is no letting up this time around, and fans cannot wait for this one.

Formula One World Championship – 15 March to 29 November

Something big is coming for motor racing fans this March. Lewis Hamilton has his sights set on Michael Schumacher’s crown of winning 7 Formula One titles. The 34-year old is in good form, and bookmakers are tipping him to take this one.

London Marathon – 26 April

Legendary Mo Farah opted to sit out this one in preparation for the Tokyo Olympics, but it won’t be without the spice it has always had. All eyes will be on Kenya’s Eliud Kipchoge, the only human to ever run a marathon in under 2 hours. His Kenyan compatriot Brigid Kosgei is poised to win the women category once more after winning the 2019 edition.

UEFA Champions League Final – 30 May, Istanbul, Turkey

The Champions League final returns to Istanbul’s Ataturk Stadium, with defending champions Liverpool pushing for another trophy on Turkish soil. It will be interesting to see the emotions if Liverpool make it to the final. Steve Gerrard captained Liverpool when they won it here in 2005. It is time to place your wagers with Betway88 before it is too late.

Euro 2020 – 12 June to 12 July

For a whole month, the football world will be shifting to Europe in the first ever Euro championship to be hosted in 6 countries. Rome, Baku, Bilbao, Amsterdam, Dublin, and London will be the host cities, with the final being held at Wembley in London.

Tokyo Summer Olympics – 24 July to 9 August (Japan)

The Summer Olympics are for everyone. I’ll never forget London 2012 and I’m sure this year’s edition will be even bigger. The organizing committee has confirmed that there will be new sports disciplines making their debut this year. We just can’t wait for this one to see who the surprises will be, and who emerges the top of the world.
